Pierre-Damien holds a degree in optoelectronics engineering and a PhD for work on VCSEL characterization. His early career focused on promoting technology transfer and he served as R&D Program Manager at ATMEL Grenoble as project lead for several European programs. He also served as an expert in the EURIMUS/EURIPIDES technical committee.
Subsequently, he joined MINATEC CEA LETI to head the Smart Device Programs in the System Department to handle industrial partnerships. After a stint at a start-up dedicated to motion sensing where he establish the product line for consumer markets, he was appointed VP Business Development and Communication at CEA LETI Head Office where he was promoted in 2015 to Strategic Partnership Manager at CEA TECH, an entity comprising the 3 CEA institutes - LETI (micro and nano-electronics), LITEN (Materials and Renewable Energy) and LIST (Embedded Software). Additionally, he is in charge of the organisation of current CEA TECH offerings in the IoT domain and its strategic definition.
