Rob founded the Internet of Things Council, the world’s largest IoT community network and co-founded Bricolabs. He authored “The Internet of Things: A Critique of Ambient Technology & the All-Seeing Network of RFID” and co-published “Situated Technologies Pamphlets 8: The Internet of People for a Post-Oil World”.   

Currently as Community Manager at the EU Project Sociotal, Rob serves as a consultant to IoT China, an industry event platform in Shanghai and chairs the AC8 - Societal Impact & Responsibility in the Context of IoT Applications of the IERC IoT Research Cluster of the EU Commission.
